CM Punjab To Launch 1 Lac E-Bike To Youth By Next Year
CM Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, and the Punjab Government has announced another step to promote sustainable mobility and empower the youth through Punjab Bike Scheme in 2025. Under the new plan of the Punjab government, 1 Lakh electric bikes will be distributed to students by next year, which is an extension of the already ongoing initiative or announcement made during the Okara University.

Punjab Govt’s E-Bike Scheme For Empowering Students
The Punjab Government has launched an Electric bike program under the supervision of CM Maryam Nawaz. This initiative was launched in July 2024. As many deserving students are getting e-bikes half of the down payment was covered which is (20,000 to 40,000).
This eco-friends step has also given electric bikes to 8000 female students, which will make their daily commute easier. The Punjab government has launched a new initiative to install charging stations exclusively for women so that e-services become easier for them. Under this program, a plan has been made to install charging stations in collaboration with the Bank of Punjab(BOP).
Deputy Commissioner DC Lahore Rafia Haider has designed and designed the sites and targeted the universities and colleges so that they can get easy charging facilities. Selected public areas such as Liberty Parking Plaza and Women’s Universities and Colleges have been targeted for this.

She said that the 30,000 students will receive scholarships this year and by next year these scholarships will be extended from 30,000 to 50,000 students.
