Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif introduced the Livestock Card initiative to sanction numerous services for livestock and livestock kisans. Recently, the provincial minister of Punjab livestock card, Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, mentioned during an MoU meeting that the Chief Minister Livestock Card will be officially activated by December 15, allowing farmers to buy feed for their cattle from government-selected dealers.

Eligibility Criteria:

The cultivators have to fit the criteria settled by the government to to the registration method for the livestock card scheme.

The candidate should be a domesticated cattle farmer.
Men or Ladies both can apply.
The CNIC card is fundamental.
The portable sim ought to be in the name of the successor farmer.
Ranchers must have at least 5 heifers.
The age should be under 60.
The record of dairy cattle stock farmers should be clear.

Livestock Card Scheme Budget Set to 11 Billion

Farmers having five to ten heifers will be eligible for a loan. The government offers 27,000 rupees for one bull. So if the farmers have five bulls they can get a loan of PKR 135,000 and the farmers who own ten cattle-stock can avail loan of Rs 270,000 from December 15. However, the range of the without-interest loan will in between Rs 135,000 to 270,000.

The Punjab Livestock Card Department provides free services for animal tagging, insemination, and vaccination. The program steps toward good health and productivity of livestock. The Dairystock card aids animal traceability and treatments for various diseases.
