Discussion About Kisan Card Expansion and Free Tractors
A few days ago, Maryam Nawaz Sharif formally launched the Kisan Card Scheme in Hafizabad, through which Kisan could buy good quality fertilizers and pesticides for their crops and could also take loans of up to Rs 150,000.
Earlier, this program was providing five lakh cards, but due to the growing trend, the Chief Minister of Punjab has increased this program from 5 lakh cards to 7.5 lakhs.
It has also been announced that farmers who cultivate 25 acres of land will be given tractors for free. Access to agricultural machines and fertilizers on rent will be also provided to kisans.
