Number of BISP Beneficiaries to Reach 10 Million by December!
One of the most recent updates received from the media talk of BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid that the BISP will increase the number of Beneficiares in the program by the end of December to 10 Million people, she also confirmed the new payment system to begin soon which do not allow any human interference for Payment disbursement.
During her talk, she also highlighted that the Beneficiary’s payment will be increased from January 2025 and currently more applications will be received by the BISP.

By the end of December, there will be 10 million beneficiaries under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), up from 9.3 million, according to BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid.

Reviving Of Wasela-e-Rozgar Program
Additionally, Rubina Khalid stated that she intended to bring back the Waseela-e-Rozgar Scheme to teach marketable skills, especially to girls from registered families. They would be able to start enterprises or find employment as a result, boosting the economy of the nation. Six banks would soon be able to release monies, she continued, enhancing the current system and guaranteeing transparency by connecting it to the Excise Department, FBR, and NADRA. To stop abuse, the system is becoming more digital, and new applications are being processed to include older single women.
According to her, highly trained workers might launch their own companies or export themselves overseas to generate much-needed foreign exchange for the nation.
Furthermore, She mentioned that although a lot of learning institutions are offering skills training right now, it is not targeted. She promised that they would give these young people specialized training so they could easily land respectable careers.
BISP Payment System To Be Transferred From 2 Banks to 6 Banks
When asked about the BISP payment ways and how the BISP will upgrade its structure to provide Payments to people with more transparency, then Rubina Khalid declared that the fact that just two banks are currently permitted to provide financial aid was creating issues for the substantial number of recipients.
She stated that in addition to automatically sending the approved stipend into the bank accounts of the six banks, BISP was considering authorizing them for this purpose.

She cited her meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari, who instructed her to make sure that the registered beneficiaries received their entire payment without hurting their ego and dignity.
