To Expand its support and provide more essentials to the Beneficiares BISP has signed two separate agreements with Two International organizations: UNICEF And WHO under the Benazir Income Support Program.

BISP Signs 2 Separate Agreement With UNICEF And WHO

According to the latest Update from the BISP Program, Under the Benazir Nashonuma Programme, BISP has signed two separate agreements with UNICEF and the WHO to combat malnutrition and enhance the health of mothers and children in Pakistan.

بی آئی ایس پی پروگرام کی تازہ ترین اپ ڈیٹ کے مطابق، بے نظیر نشوونما پروگرام کے تحت، بی آئی ایس پی نے پاکستان میں غذائی قلت سے نمٹنے اور ماؤں اور بچوں کی صحت کو بڑھانے کے لیے یونیسیف اور ڈبلیو ایچ او کے ساتھ دو الگ الگ معاہدوں پر دستخط کیے ہیں۔ اس معاہدے پر ان تنظیموں کے درمیان دستخط کیے گئے ہیں تاکہ وہ متاثرہ بچوں اور ان کی ماؤں کو غذائیت سے متعلق خوراک اور سپلیمنٹس کے ذریعے بڑے پیمانے پر غیر مشروط مدد فراہم کر سکیں۔ اس لیے پاکستان کے تمام غریب علاقوں میں بے نظیر نشوونما پروگرام میں مستفید ہونے والوں کو رجسٹر کرنے کے لیے ایک وسیع سروے جاری ہے تاکہ بچوں اور کمزور خواتین کی رکی ہوئی نشوونما کو ختم کیا جا سکے۔

This agreement has been signed between these organizations so that they can provide unconditional support to the affected Children and their Mothers via nutritional foods and supplements on a large scale. Therefore a wide survey has been going on throughout poor regions in Pakistan to Register the Beneficiaries in the Benazir Nashonuma Program to eliminate the stunted growth of children and weak women.

What are The Importance of Agreements Made With BISP?

The release also stated that Luo Dapeng from WHO, Abdullah Fadil from UNICEF, and Secretary Amer Ali Ahmad from BISP had signed the agreements. It stated that the partnership’s goals are to raise community awareness and give impacted moms and kids life-saving nutrition help.

According to an official statement released on Tuesday, the agreement with UNICEF is centered on the provision of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) for the treatment of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC).

WHO to Treat 75,000 Children with Severe Malnutrition

Under the terms of the agreement with WHO, District Headquarters Hospitals (DHQs) would oversee stabilization centers at the district level throughout the nation. These centers will offer children with difficulties from SAM specialized care.

The WHO official stated, “We are honored to be working with BISP to deliver evidence-based interventions that will protect, support, and promote breastfeeding as a critical strategy to prevent stunting as well as provide life-saving treatment to 75,000 severely acutely malnourished children with medical complications.

UNICEF Determined To Provide Full Support For Recovering People

UNICEF and the Benazir Nashonuma Program have an agreement in place for UNICEF to provide nutritional support to malnourished and poor children registered in Pakistan.

To ensure that they can live, flourish, and realize their full potential, children living in underprivileged communities and homes must be given priority when it comes to nutrition and social protection programs, according to the UNICEF representative.

He said that they are determined to strengthen their collaborations with UNICEF and WHO to ensure that the fruits of this collaboration reach those who need it the most.
