BISP & WFP latest Agreement Update: Enhancing Collaboration!

In a meeting between the BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid and WFP officials many important agreements and deals have been signed for developing the structure of BISP assistance programs like Nashonuma and adolescent girls programs.

The World Food Programme (WFP) and the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) have decided to strengthen their cooperation on social protection initiatives and meeting Pakistan’s nutritional and health needs.
Agreement Signed Between BISP & WFP
This meeting was held on Friday by the Official people of both parties. Decisions have been made between the Deputy Country Director, WFP, Rathi Pala Krishnan, and the Chairperson of the BISP, Senator Rubina Khalid, and Secretary of the BISP, Amer Ali Ahmad.

The major goal of helding this meeting with the World Food Programme is to promote and enhance their role in providing benefits for the Mother and Children under the Benazir Nashonuma Program. Through this initiative they receive nutritional food at each visit that has many pivotal benefits and it strengthens the physical and mental health of both Mother and its Child.
WFP agree to enhance collaboration on social protection interventions
In order to better serve beneficiaries, both parties also decided to strengthen provincial operations.
The meeting’s main topics were the promotion of awareness campaigns, BISP programs run by the WFP in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and maternal and child health activities under the Benazir Nashonuma Program.
Importance Of BISP’s Partnership With WFP
BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid stressed the value of BISP’s collaboration with WFP in advancing the Nashonuma Program during the conference. “The Benazir Nashonuma Programme is an important initiative for addressing the nutritional and health needs of mothers and children,” she said. Raising awareness among women is crucial to maximizing its impact and ensuring that they can take full advantage of this revolutionary program.
“Our goal is to spread BISP throughout the country so that every child in Pakistan has a healthy start in life, which lays the groundwork for a bright and prosperous future,” she added.
Benazir Kafalat 13500 Payment Update – 2025
Households participating in the BISP Benazir Kafalat project would receive increased quarterly payments, according to Rubina Khalid, chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). She has promised a raise of Rs3,000 in quarterly payments to the marginalized families, who currently receive Rs10,500 every three months, for a total of Rs13,500.
