Speaking with the media on Friday while at the BISP Registration Center at the al-Fateh Sports Complex Saleemi Chowk, she advised those who qualified to do so to register by going to the Tehsil and District BISP offices.

She gave the center employees instructions on how to accommodate elderly people and warned them that they would not be allowed to act carelessly or delinquently in this regard. She also spoke with the women in attendance and gave them her direct contact information should there be any theft or embezzlement in the BISP aid payment.

Rubina Khalid Listened To Beneficiares Complaint

She engaged with the worthy and qualified women gathered at the registration center, and upon learning of their grievances, she gave the center employees instructions to enhance visitor facilities.

She thereafter went to the BISP Center Dhuddiwala to examine the payment procedure. Several ladies stated that to receive their BISP support money, they had to bribe someone Rs. 500. Because of this, the BISP Chairperson gave these allegations careful consideration and turned over an accused person to the police who had allegedly obtained illicit satisfaction from BISP beneficiaries.

Payments To Be Given Through New Payment System

She praised President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for their visionary leadership and stated that the BISP was started to raise the living standards of the underprivileged by giving them financial aid and that its payment procedure is now being redesigned to guarantee transparency.

In addition to partnering with six more banks, the BISP has instructed them to set up at least two touchpoints on the Union Council platform so that all beneficiaries in rural areas can collect their payments within walking distance.

Scope of BISP Program to Be Increase By 10 Million Women

She stated that BISP currently had 9.3 million registered members and that its reach would now include 10 million more people who did not make enough money to cover their expenses.

The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) is making major strides in its outreach to register one crore beneficiaries by the end of this year. A comprehensive dynamic survey procedure coupled with enhanced government funding would enable more worthy families to reap the benefits.
