CM Punjab Launches Rs 60,000 Climate Internship Program

Here is the latest Announcement for all the residents of Punjab, especially for Youth, that Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has Launched a new initiative for a green Punjab with the aim of providing jobs and internships to the Graduates and also reviving the environment with the new and advance workforce.

The CM Internship Climate Resilient Leadership Program was introduced by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif with the goal of improving youth responsibility for the environment.

2000 Punjab Climate Internship Program

According to the most recent update, Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has launched a new initiative for the youth in which she is providing 2000 internships to graduate youth from all over Punjab studying in the environmental field.

During the function, she also announced the launch of Pakistan’s first smog hotline, “1373,” and gave the order to set aside 1% of project funding for tree planting campaigns.

Increasing Stipend From 25,000 To 60,000

While addressing the youth at the launching ceremony of the Internship Program, Maryam Nawaz announced the good news to the students that she has decided in the cabinet to increase the monthly stipend of Student from 25,000 to 60,000 which will allow them to pursue their field and will also provide job security to them.

She highlighted the importance of having stable jobs for interns after the program. According to her, environmental internships are not just possibilities, but also a crucial duty towards developing a greener Punjab.

Collaboration Between Pakistan and Indian Punjab

She emphasized the need for cooperation between Pakistan and Indian Punjab in the fight against smog, stressing that the problem cannot be solved by just pushing a button. From October 15 to November 15, the CM asked educational institutions to include pollution awareness in their curricula.

The Chief Minister censured the previous disregard for environmental management and emphasized the significance of addressing the environment as a collective duty throughout Pakistan. She stated that in an effort to demonstrate a dedication to humane methods, the fight against animal abuse has been given more attention.

Adverse Reason Of Smog & Its Effects

Speaking about concerns about air quality, she described continuous efforts to fight smog, such as monitoring industrial emissions and taking preventative action against pollution from plants that melt fat and brick kilns. She also underlined the need for sustainable infrastructure development for the advancement of the country.

New Environmental Initiatives

Marriyum Aurangzeb, a senior provincial minister, provided information on recent environmental projects, such as thorough climate change plans and a system for car inspections. She reiterated Punjab’s position as a leader in tackling climate-related issues.
