CM Launches [100,000] Free Solar Panel Program: How to Apply!

Punjab’s Chief Minister has officially launched 100,000 free solar panels for middle-class families across Punjab. With rising inflation, where paying bills is becoming increasingly difficult, this program has been designed to provide relief to the people.

On Friday 6th December Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif officially inaugurated the 100,000 Free Solar Panels Scheme. The CM Solar Panel Scheme” is a transformative project designed to reduce electricity expenses for low-income households by allotting free Solar panels.

جمعہ 6 دسمبر کو وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف نے ایک لاکھ مفت سولر پینلز سکیم کا باضابطہ افتتاح کیا۔ سی ایم سولر پینل سکیم” ایک تبدیلی کا منصوبہ ہے جو کم آمدنی والے گھرانوں کے لیے مفت سولر پینلز کی الاٹمنٹ کے ذریعے بجلی کے اخراجات کو کم کرنے کے لیے ڈیزائن کیا گیا ہے۔ اس سکیم کے تحت ماہانہ دو سو یونٹ تک بجلی استعمال کرنے والے گھرانوں کو مفت سولر پینل کی تنصیب کا احاطہ کیا جائے گا۔ صارفین کو طویل مدتی ریلیف فراہم کرنے کے علاوہ، حکومت ایک سال کے اندر صوبے میں ایک لاکھ سولر سسٹم لگانے کے لیے وقف ہے۔

The scheme will cover households consuming up to 200 units of electricity monthly for free solar panel installations. These solar units will provide consumers with long-term relief. Moreover, the government is dedicated to installing 100,000 solar systems in the province within a year.

5 January: Last Date To Register!

Registration for CM-free solar panels has started. The government has issued a deadline date of January 5, 2025, for the registration of these innovative solar panels. Applications submitted after 5 January will not be considered.

Application Via Govt’s Officialized Portal

For the fortification of the solar panel and inverter from any larceny, the solar panel and inverter will be linked to the CNIC cards of the beneficiaries.

Registration By Sending an SMS To 8800:

If the beneficiaries don’t have an internet connection they can register themselves for the solar by sending an SMS on 8800.

Simply send your CNIC and electricity bill reference number to 8800.
Your application will be automatically registered.
After sending the SMS, you will receive a confirmation message with your application details.

Who Is Eligible For CM Solar Panel Scheme

Likewise, the other initiative initiated by the Punjab Government government has set standardized protocols for the Chief Minister Solar Panel Scheme.

The government will provide a 550-watt solar system to consumers using up to 100 units per month.
550-watt solar panels will be issued to 52,019 beneficiaries.
Those using up to 200 units will get a 1,100-watt solar system.
