CM Initiates Cheque Disbursement in Several Divisions: Know Detail!

The Punjab Chief Minister recently distributed scholarship cheques during the Punjab Honhaar Cheque Disbursement ceremony at the Islamia University, Bahawalpur. The initiative was launched to support needy students and promote higher education in the province. 3,011 students received scholarship cheques from CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz. At the same time, many students from public sector universities were also given scholarships with a total allocation of PKR 147.1 million.

CM Punjab Distributed  Scholarship cheques At Islamia University, Bahawalpur: 

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz distributed meritorious Punjab Scholarship cheques among the students of the Bahawalpur division. This event was organized at Islamia University Bahawalpur, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. This event aims to enable deserving and talented students to pursue their studies. 

This event shows that the government is committed to recognizing and supporting talented students. The Punjab Chief Minister aims to show that the government of Punjab values ​​the education and talent of the youth and wants to provide resources to further develop them. This scholarship is living proof of the dedication and focus of the government on youth education and empowerment.

Scholarships Cheques Have Been Alloted To 3011 Students:

In this event, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz distributed scholarship cheques on merit to students of 3011 students of the Bahawalpur division. The total value of these scholarships was Rs 173.2 billion. These scholarships were given to those who show good performance in their academics and qualify for financial support. 

A documentary was also shown during the event which was about merit awards. One of the objectives of this documentary was to highlight the achievements of students through scholarships provided by the Punjab government. It was also told that 3011 students who have been given scholarships are based on 100% merit.

2296 Students From Public Universities Avail Scholarship Wips With 147.1 Million Budget:

Bahawalpur Division received the second number of merit scholarships after the Lahore Division. Lahore Division ranks 1st while Bahawalpur Division ranks 2nd. 

  • 2296 students of public sector universities in the city have been allocated scholarship cheques with the allocation cost of 147.1 Million Rupees.
  • While 400 students who are enrolled in colleges of Bahawalpur Division have been awarded merit scholarships worth Rs. 8 million. 
  • 315 students who are studying for medical qualifications have been given scholarships with a budget of 18.1 million. 

This distribution shows that the government has the vision to allocate scholarships well among students of different educational institutions and categories, and this has been done with as much fair adjustment as possible so that students of every field can be supported.

CM Punjab Presented The 5 Million Cheque To Squash Player:

There was also a special moment during the event in which CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif called squash player Sohail Adnan, who is the Under-13 British Junior Champion, on stage and presented him with a prize cheque of 5 million rupees. 

This gesture was to recognize his international achievements and to appreciate him. In addition, she invited him to sit with her, which was a symbol of respect and support for his achievement. This moment was not only a cause of pride for Sohail Adnan but also a motivational example for the rest of the students.

Guard Of Honor Awarded To The Students In Their Honor:

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif instructed the Disciplinary Police Contingent to award the students with the Guard of Honor. This was meant to acknowledge the students’ achievements and honor them. The police contingent celebrated their hard work and success by performing a general salute. It was a great encouragement for the students and a unique way to appreciate their academic and personal efforts.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz actively engaged with the students during the event and created an inclusive positive environment. She sang the National Anthem with the students at their request and had meaningful conversations that fostered connection and engagement.  Maryam Nawaz also called to the students who were singing to express her love, affection, and support for them.

11,000 Students Of 4 Districts Of Punjab Awarded By The Scholarships Yet:

Through the Punjab Honhaar Scholarships initiative, more than 11,000 students belonging to 4 divisions have been provided scholarships. The allocation cost of these scholarships, which has been allocated by the government, is up to Rs 720 million. 

These scholarships have been awarded to the students based on their academic achievement, which will help them achieve their educational goals. All the scholarships have been disbursed across the four divisions of Punjab, which has been done under the regional diversity and fair opportunities.
