Special Individuals Receiving Financial Support Via Himmat Card

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated the Himmat Card program to provide financial assistance to special individuals. Through this move, disabled people can lead their lives with full self-esteem and independence. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has increased the amount of financial assistance for special people to Rs10,500 for the 65,000 special people but the implementation of these cards will be done in a phased manner.

With support from the Bank of Punjab (BOP) and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Maryam Nawaz Himmat’s Card will be issued to eligible applicants whose verification for DPMIS is required.

Disbursement Of 65,000 Himmat Cards to PWDs:

The government of Punjab has introduced this effective move for the financial assistance of PWDs.Under this initiative, 65,000 underprivileged human beings will get ATM-paying cards from the BOP in a two-phased rollout. In the first tranche, 40,000 disabled people will get their cards, while in the 2d phase, 25,000 PWDs lefts will obtain their cards.

Registration Process for CM Himmat Card:

All special people with disabilities who are eligible can register by following this and get support from PITB or Punjab Bank.

  • Visit the Social Welfare portal punjab.gov.pk.
  • Fill out the form properly.
  • Attach the required document.
  • Click the submit button.
  • If you’re eligible, the Himmat card will be issued to you.

Requirement For BOP’S ATM Card Verification:

The document required for BOP’s ATM card:

  • Copy ofCNIC/B-Form.
  • Disability Certificate.
  • Proof of Monthly Income.
  • Household Utility Bill.
  • Mobile Phone Number.
  •  Medical Report of Disability or medical board name.

CM’s Settlement With BOP And Bait-ul-Maal For The Himmat ATM Cards:

The agreement has been signed between the social welfare department BOP and Bait-ul-Maal for the courage card’s implementation. Bank of Punjab (BOP) will serve as the financial service provider for Rs 80.17 million to special people. The Social Welfare Bank of Punjab will issue the entire data about the registered disabled people. The P&D Department has sanctioned Rs 658.1 million for the project. However, it is important to cash the money within 180 days after the transfer, otherwise, the stipend payment will be returned.
