Maryam Nawaz has also announced the number of tractors to be disbursed across each district in Punjab.

1000 Free Tractors To Be Given Through Lucky Draw  

The Punjab government has revived Nawaz Sharif’s idea after a 12-year break by formally launching the “Green Tractor Scheme” to help farmers throughout the province. According to the most recent update it has been decided by the Punjab government to give the first 1000 Tractors to the registered farmer via lucky draw in Punjab who cultivated the lands from 25 to 50 acres. 

Farmers Who Receive Green Tractors For Free 

Yaseen, the son of Muhammad Ashraf from Okara, was the first beneficiary of a green tractor when the program began with a digital voting process.

As part of the project, tractors were also given to farmers Ghulam Akbar from Dera Ghazi Khan and Talib Hussain from Chakwal.

Number Of Tractors Disbursed In Each District 

The Government of Punjab has set the number of Tractors to be distributed in the province as follows:

  • a total of 339 tractors will be distributed in Okara, 
  • 111 in Chakwal, 
  • and 276 in Dera Ghazi Khan.

Subsidy of 1 Million Given To The Farmers 

A subsidy of Rs 1 million would be given to each of the 9,500 farmers who are taking part in the scheme to buy a tractor. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also declared that 1,000 tractors will be given out for free to wheat farmers who own 25–50 acres of land through a fortunate draw.

A substantial subsidy of Rs. 10 lakhs on 50 to 85 HP tractors made in Pakistan is available to qualified farmers with 1 to 50 acres of agricultural land under the Green Tractor Scheme.

Four Types Of Green Tractors

CM Nawaz emphasized the government’s dedication to modernizing agriculture, saying the goal is to move the industry toward innovation and mechanization. In addition, she drove one of the four kinds of green tractors that she reviewed.
