Here is some good news for all the government employees and retired workers because of the new Fiscal Budget, Pakistan’s government has made many big announcements and relief Salary Hikes for workers of all grades and also ensured an increase in their allowance.

Major Increase in Salaries, Pension Of Govt Employees

As stated in the newly released Budget 2024–25, the government notified employees on Wednesday of an increase in salary and pensions. The letter from the Finance Division states that ad-hoc relief allowance for government employees up to grade 16 would be increased by 25%. There has been a 20% rise in the allowance for officials in grades 17 through 22.

Furthermore, the Budget 2024’s projected 15% pension hike for federal employees has been confirmed.

Important Message From Finance Divison Notification

“For all federal government employees, including armed forces personnel, civil armed forces, and federal employees, as well as civilians paid from defense estimates, contingent staff, and contract employees on standard terms and conditions of contract appointment,” the Finance Division announced in a notification. “The President has sanctioned an Adhoc Relief Allowance 2024.”

Allowance Excluded from Pension Calculation; Resumes After Abroad Deputation

One of the main assumptions from this latest announcement is that It won’t be granted to employees who are being deputed overseas, nor will it be taken into account when determining pensions, gratuities, and housing rent. Employees will resume receiving the allowance, though, if they return and are assigned to their new divisions.
