Rs 35Bn Allocated For Mega Health Project in Islamabad
Azam Nazeer Tarar, the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Law, and Justice, informed the National Assembly on July 30 that the federal government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, had started a massive project in the federal capital worth Rs 35 billion to provide people with state-of-the-art medical facilities.
PM Launched the Mega program under the annual (PSDP)
In response to Asia Naz Tanoli’s calling attention notice about the notable rise in Hepatitis C cases in Islamabad, the minister stated that the prime minister had already started a massive program under the annual Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) with international support to give the citizens of Islamabad access to the best facilities and medical care.
Programs For Hepatitis Patients
He claimed that a program for hepatitis sufferers had been launched by the previous government in 2005. Following the health ministry’s devolution to the provinces in 2011, he claimed there was now a proper federal program.
The minister clarified, however, that patients were receiving medical care in this regard from both Poly Clinic and PIMS institutions. Just 3,664 of the over 90,000 hepatitis tests that were performed in PIMS during the previous year, according to him, were positive.
