Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has launched a new and more beneficial initiative for people with diabetes with the name Punjab Insuline Program through this Scheme Children with diabetes will get the Insuline Card and she also orders to upgrade the BHU to more advanced “Maryam Nawaz health Clinics” present in remote areas.

CM Insuline Program Initiated By Punjab Govt

The “Chief Minister Insulin” initiative is going to be launched, according to the Punjab administration. Children with Type 1 diabetes will receive insulin at home thanks to the initiative. They will be issuing special cards to make sure these kids have access to insulin. Insulin will be supplied by a business with government approval, adhering to cold chain and other SOPs.

BHU’s Transformation Into Maryam’s Health Clinic

The Announcement of the CM Insuline Program was made during a meeting chaired by Maryam Nawaz, in which she made some important decisions related to the medical resources available in remote areas of Punjab.

To enhance healthcare services, it was resolved during a special meeting presided over by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to upgrade Basic Health Units (BHUs) in rural areas to “Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics.”

The creation of health labs in hospitals in Mianwali, Jhang, Layyah, Attock, and Jhelum as well as the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of medical staff were approved.

CM Insulin Project Pilot Phase Launch

In Lahore and three other districts, a trial program named “Chief Minister Insulin for All” will be introduced. Individuals with Type 1 diabetes may apply via a special helpline or app.

The meeting was attended by several officials, including Principal Secretary, MPA Sania Ashiq, Health Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir, Information and Culture Minister Uzma Zahid Bukhari, Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, and other officials.
