The Punjab Cabinet decided to lower Islamabad’s and Punjab’s electricity costs. The consent was granted today in Lahore during a provincial cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Speaking at the gathering, Maryam Nawaz stated that Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had a vision of providing relief from electricity bills amounting to 46 billion rupees.

Punjab Decided To Extend Electricity Relief To 150,000 People In Federal

Following two months (August and September) of reduced power prices for Punjabi citizens by Rs14 per unit, the Punjab cabinet on Thursday agreed on a similar relief for Islamabad’s customers.

Over 150,000 users of the federal capital would gain from the move, according to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who was presiding over the 14th provincial cabinet meeting. “The solar panel program will soon be launched by the government,” she said.

Maryam Nawaz Announced To Launched Solar Panel Program Soon

During the Cabinet meeting, Maryam Nawaz said that efforts are underway to significantly reduce electricity prices by the upcoming summer, including the launch of a solar panel program.

She said that customers’ August and September bills will be reduced by fourteen rupees per unit in Punjab and Islamabad. She disclosed that this assistance will help residential consumers who use between 200 and 500 units.
