According to the latest news from the Benazir Income Support Program, Secretary General Ahmer Ali Ahmed has welcomed a delegation of 17 officers from the 36th Senior Management Course (SMC) of the National Institute of Management (NIM).
In his briefing, he mentioned the Key projects of the BISP program and how new aspects are taken to lift the lives of people through the BISP’s multiple schemes.

A group of 17 officers from the 36th Senior Management Course (SMC) at the National Institute of Management paid a visit to the BISP headquarters in Islamabad with the aim of acquiring knowledge about the functioning of the program and its influence on marginalized groups throughout Pakistan.
The team was informed by the Secretary of BISP on the main projects of BISP, such as the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER), Kafaalat, Taleemi Wazaif, Nashonuma, and Undergraduate Scholarship.
BISP To Start Its Next Tranche Via New Payment Module
At this meeting, the BISP Secretary discussed some important aspects of the pivotal initiative and how he has recognized the complexities and diversifying situations of poor households by surveying them in person.
He informed the delegation that membership in this organization allows one to understand the importance, reach, and influence of BISP on the nation’s underprivileged populations.
He emphasized that starting with its quarterly tranche distributions, BISP will be using a new payment approach. The new model includes six banks, whereas the old model only included two. The action was done to guarantee transparency and expedite cash payouts and it will also save BISP’s Rs 2 billion annually.

To maintain transparency, funds are disbursed via approved campsites that are supervised by BISP personnel in conjunction with local government.
The Secretary also stressed the NSER database’s dependability, pointing out that it is widely used for a variety of social safety programs by both public and commercial entities. BISP’s International Development Partners acknowledge the legitimacy of the database as well.
