CM Gandapur Announces 2 KW Solar Systems For 100,000 Ehsaas Program Families

Here is the latest Update from Khyber Pakhtoon Kha’s Government which has announced a new relief package for the Beneficaries of Ehsaas Program in which up to 100,000 people will receive a 2 KW Solar System from the government. The solar systems will include solar panels, inverters, wiring, fans, and light bulbs.

100,000 Beneficaries of the Ehsaas Program Will Receive Solar Systems in KPK

Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has declared that 100,000 families in the area will receive free 2KW solar systems as a result of rising energy costs pushing people toward green energy.

Most families that will be part of this program are 8171 Ehsaas Program families, who are receiving financial and moral assistance from the government. According to the eligibility criteria, this will benefit the most deserving families so that they can get relaxed from the high amount of electricity bills. 

Who is Eligible For the KP Solar System in 2024

The KP Solar System initiative is specifically aimed at underprivileged households registered under the Ehsaas Program. The primary beneficiaries are those families who are already receiving financial and moral assistance from the government through the Ehsaas Program. The program targets the most deserving families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to help them cope with rising energy costs and reduce their electricity bills.

According to Ali Amin Gandapur, homes registered under the Ehsaas Program will receive these solar systems. The effort seeks to alleviate the province’s electrical problems, eliminate line losses, and lessen electricity theft while guaranteeing the impoverished have access to energy.

The purpose of this program is to create a positive impact in the province and provide some assistance to the impoverished during this period of rising inflation. 

Over 20 Billion Rs Allocated For Solar System Scheme

The government of Khyber Pakhtoon Kha has suggested starting this new and very beneficial project in the province so that the ehsaas program’s eligible beneficiaries can get relief and spare from paying high electricity bills. Therefore, In light of the crippling inflation, the government is taking drastic efforts to provide relief, and over Rs20 billion has been set aside for the project.
