CM Punjab Announces Free Laptops for Students Scoring 65% And Above
On Wednesday at Government College Women’s University (GCWU) Sialkot, during the Honhaar scholarship distribution, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif made a great announcement for the students. She said that those students who will fill 65 % or more will be given free laptops. Maryam Nawaz said, “I will distribute laptops myself and the best quality laptops available in the market will be distributed to the students”.
بدھ کو گورنمنٹ کالج ویمن یونیورسٹی (جی سی ڈبلیو یو) سیالکوٹ میں ہنر سکالر شپ کی تقسیم کے دوران وزیر اعلیٰ مریم نواز شریف نے طالبات کے لیے بڑا اعلان کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جو طلباء 65 فیصد یا اس سے زیادہ بھریں گے انہیں مفت لیپ ٹاپ دیے جائیں گے۔ مریم نواز نے کہا کہ میں خود لیپ ٹاپ تقسیم کروں گی اور مارکیٹ میں دستیاب بہترین کوالٹی کے لیپ ٹاپ طلبہ میں تقسیم کیے جائیں گے۔ اس اعلان کے بعد طلبہ کا جوش و خروش عروج پر تھا۔ مریم نواز نے تقریب میں قومی ترانہ اور قرآن پاک، نعت رسول مقبول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور کلام اقبال کی تلاوت کرنے والے طلباء کی بھی تعریف کی۔ اس نے طلباء کے ساتھ سیلفیاں بھی لیں اور ان کے ساتھ تحریک شیئر کی۔

During the briefing, she also revealed that the first batch of laptops shipment had already arrived and she also said that when choosing these laptops, she selected the best laptops available in the market. Further, she said she would disburse these laptops to the students soon.
CM To Increase Honhaar Scholarships to 50,000 Students
She also said that till now 30,000 and more scholarships were being given to students every year, but from now on these numbers will be increased.
Hence, 20,000 more scholarships will be increased. She directed the officials to extend scholarships to 50,000 by next year which will give more students the benefit. CM has a plan to increase the number of scholarships so that more students will get support.
Punjab Govt to Add 2nd & 3rd-Year Students By Next Year
At the same time, Maryam Nawaz Sharif made a new announcement last month that now this Honhaar Scholarship program will be extended to 2nd-year and 3rd-year students as well, and from next year, second-year and third-year students will also be eligible for the scholarship of this program.
These scholarships will be provided not only for freshers but also for 2nd- and 3rd-year students by the coming year.
