In 2025, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif initiated the “Uraan Pakistan” project, which will be a great strategy to accelerate the industrial growth of the country’s economy. PM Pakistan Has Initiated “Uraan Pakistan” Program
On December 31, 2024, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced the National Economic Transformation program, which was introduced as “Uraan Pakistan”. Pakistan will focus on strengthening the economy of Pakistan. The Uraan Pakistan Project was unveiled at the meeting held in Islamabad.
PM Shahbaz Sharif said that this plan has been initiated to make the country’s economic growth sustainable and stable so that in the future Pakistan will not face any more difficulties.

Focusing 5Es Economic Issues With Five-Year Target
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has named the five-year economic plan Uraan Pakistan as a target framework based on five trending sectors 5Es, in which the first target is export, the second is e-Pakistan, the third is environment empowerment, the fourth is food and water security, and the fifth one is energy and infrastructure.
Each sector will be tackled with specific goals, such as extra strategies to increase exports, digital transformation, and AI technologies will be promoted across the country, socio-economic inequality will be completely reduced and an equality-based system will be established, environmental sustainability and a solution to the energy crisis will be found.

In April, PM Shahbaz emphasized the need to create an export strategy and asked the Ministry of Trade to prepare an export plan in collaboration with successful entrepreneurs and stakeholders. The official meeting was held in Islamabad and was attended by leaders and stakeholders. The purpose of this meeting was to announce the Uraan Pakistan Economic Scheme. PM said that political harmony is necessary to balance Pakistan’s economy so that privatization efforts can be taken for reviving national privatization and the losses being incurred in state-owned enterprises can be also privatized.

Ishaq Dar On Pakistan’s Economy Roadmap From 24 To 47 Position
On the occasion of the opening of the “Uraan Pakistan” project, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also expressed his opinion and said that if Pakistan has to move on the path of development, then petty politics will have to be abandoned.
Ishaq Dar said that at that time Pakistan had to suffer a lot and the country had dropped a lot in its ranking. He said that earlier the country’s ranking was at 24th position and now it has come to 47th. But he also said that Pakistan can still join the club of G-20 countries if we continue on our path and focus on achieving our goals.

Finance Minister Aurangzeb Structurize Economic Approach For 2028
