On Monday, a distinguished group of 19 World Bank Executive Directors traveled to Islamabad to evaluate the Benazir One Window Center’s overall effectiveness.

The distinguished group was cordially welcomed by Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), and Secretary Amer Ali Ahmad.

WB Delegation Reviews BISP Operations and Expansion Plans

Along with Senator Rubina Khalid and Secretary Amer Ali Ahmad, the delegation thoroughly examined the payment system, Taleemi Wazaif child registration, Nashonuma awareness seminars for women, and the registry of deserving women at the NSER survey desk.

Senator Rubina Khalid told the delegation that 9.3 million people are presently receiving financial aid under BISP, and the figure will shortly surpass 10 million.

Agreement Set Between World Bank And BISP 

From February 17 to February 25, the group will be visiting BISP to assess the status of the Program Action Plan, the Crisis Resilient Social Protection (CRISP) Framework, and the agreements between BISP and the World Bank.

Benazir Hunarmand Program

She also highlighted initiatives under the Benazir Hunarmand Program, which works with NAVTTC and the Ministry of foreign Pakistanis to offer skill training and foreign employment possibilities to worthy individuals.
